Sensei Daniels teaches at North Davidson Middle School in a career that spans more than 30 years teaching, coaching and mentoring students of all ages.Sensei Daniels has been teaching Karate since 1968. He was instructed by John Boone of Elk Park, N.C. who learned Karate in Okinawa. Sensei Daniels earned his 1st degree black belt in American Freestyle, his 3rd degree in Gojo-Ryu. He received his 6th degree in the style of Shito-Ryu under the instruction of Sensei Larry Bullard, which he continues to teach today.
From 1977-1982 Sensei Daniels was the champion in the East CoastFull Contact Tournament. In the South Regional Full Contact Tournament he held the title from 1980-1985. Sensei Daniels holds a record of 24 - 2 in full contact fighting.
In March 2005 Sensei Daniels was awarded the Living Legends Sports Karate Award. In March 2007 Sensei Daniels was awarded the Appalachian Karate Hall of Fame Award.
